Designation: Vice President of Ghana
His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the Vice President of Ghana with a background in economics, holding a Ph.D. from Simon Fraser University in Canada. Prior to entering politics, he worked as a successful economist and served as a consultant for international organizations. He joined politics in 2008 and was elected as Vice President of Ghana in December 2016. In this role, he oversees the implementation of government policies and leads initiatives related to economic development, youth employment, and digitization.
